Hunters want more done to protect George River Caribou

by Tony Dawson

George River Caribou (Tony Dawson photo) Non aboriginal hunters say the province should be doing more to protect caribou in Labrador. Innu from Quebec have killed hundreds of animals. There has also been hunting in a closed zone that's home to the red wine caribou. Through all of this the department of justice has refused to provide any details or explain what they're doing. The CBC's Peter Cowan talked to Tony Chubbs, head of the Labrador Hunting and Fishing Association and we have some of your talkback to Labrador Morning
