On May 11,2011 over 30 members of the LHAFA gathered at the Public Boat Launch to pick-up debris and garbage to make the site more attractive to it's members, tourists visiting the area and the general public. The LHAFA partnered with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, the Nunatsiavut Government and boat owners to remove 8 pick-up loads of garbage to beautify the site. The LHAFA intends to further develop and enhance this Boat Launch, creating an additional concrete slipway adjacent to the current one and installing a floating dock system.
