We are hosting our Very Popular 7th Annual Steak and Lobster Supper on Friday Evening, 8th June 2018. Tickets are $50 per person and includes a Deliciously Cooked Newfoundland Lobster (cut for you to enjoy) , BBQ your own juicy strip-loin steak, baked potatoes, coleslaw, condiments, tea, coffee, desserts. Attention Big Game Hunters
1st Annual Labrador Moose Antler Scoring Competition
Competition is open to all moose antlers from any season.
Scoring will be done using Boone and Crocket guidelines and antlers must have been taken using fair game chase. Pick-ups allowed with proof of permit.
Antlers must have skull plate intact.
Proof of License or Permit must be presented at time of scoring.
Entries will be accepted up to 6 PM May 25, 2018.
All trophies must be presented by the license...

As you may be aware, the federal government is planning on implementing the UN Marking regulations come June 1, 2017. As it is currently written, these markings are additional to the manufacturer's serial #, make and model, and have to be added within 60 days of release from CBSA. This is estimated to add an additional cost of $200 per firearm which will undoubtedly have to borne by the consumer.

On 11 February, MP Yvonne Jones, MHA Perry Trimper and Premier Dwight Ball were in Happy Valley-Goose Bay to announce funding provided to the Labrador Hunting and Fishing Association to expand their current 100m shooting range and construct a new 50m, 3 berm Shooting Range. Funding was provided by ACOA and BTCRD.

The LHAFA will be holding a General Membership Meeting at 6:30 PM at the Broomfield Arena in Clyde's Room on Monday, 20 February 2016. There will be presentations from the Chief Firearms Office, Department of Environment and Climate Change Conservation Services and an update on the of our Boating Safety Program which was successfully implement with a financial contribution from Transport Canada.

The Labrador Hunting and Fishing Association will be holding it's Annual General Membership Meeting at the E.J. Broomfield Memorial Arena at 7pm on the 15th November 2016 (Tuesday) upstairs in Clyde's Room, Happy Valley - Goose Bay.

We will be electing new Directors and Executive Members, and would like to see any member interested in assisting the association step forward.

We will have Guest Speakers to provide information on Fish and Wildlife issues.

Memberships will be available to purchase. We will also be giving out several prizes and you must be a member in good standing to win.

We will also be selling LHAFA Shirts, T-shirts and Ball Caps with our Embroidered Logo. So please invite your family, friends, neighbors, and anyone else. You can also check out our website that has news and a photo gallery of many of the events we were involved with this past year.
