The winning ticket on the Toro Lawn Mower/ Snow Blower package was drawn on CBC Radio's Labrador Morning on 2 December 2013. The winner was Doreen Rendell of North West River. The $250 sellers prize went to Vivian Decker for selling the winning ticket.

The Annual General Membership Meeting will be held at the Labrador Friendship Center, multipurpose room, 49 Grenfell Street, Happy Valley - Goose Bay.
7 PM, Thursday, 14th November 2013.
We will be electing new Directors and Executive members, and would like to see any member interested step forward.

Memberships will be available to purchase for $30. You can also renew and pay for your membership on our website. We will also be giving out prizes and you must be a member in good standing to win.
We will also be selling LHAFA Polo Shirts, T-shirts and Ball Caps with our Embroidered Logo. So please invite your family, friends, neighbors, and anyone else. You can also check out our website that has news and a photo gallery of many of the events we were involved with this past year.

The Labrador Hunting and Fishing Association are now selling tickets that will be drawn for a Turbo 42" Ride on Mower! It includes snowblower and bagger attachments, having a prize value of $6000! Tickets are available at Joe's Autobody Shop, Greenleaf, Slippers and Things and from any Director or Executive member. tickets are $5.00 each and the draw will be held on December 2nd, 2013 at the CBC Building. For those interested in selling tickets for the Association, there is a $250 Sellers Prize!

The draw on the Beyonce concert in Philadelphia took place at Maxwell's on June 25th. Where we were happy to announce the winner Angela Dunphey who was present at Expo Labrador. The sellers prize went to Heather McLean and Kayla Chubbs. Once again a big thank-you to the North Atlantic Iron Corporation for this generous donation. Thank-you to all of those who sold and purchased tickets.

The North Atlantic Iron Corporation has partnered with the LHAFA and the SPCA to enable these two non-for-profit organizations to build their respective projects. The SPCA is looking to build a new animal shelter and the LHAFA is trying to construct a new shooting range as well as developing a boat launch and marina facilities. We are currently selling tickets to the Mrs.Carter Show World Tour to see Beyonce in concert. It is a return trip for two to Philadelphia, with two nights accommodations...

CONGRATULATIONS to Ed Mullins for winning the Boat & Motor Package. The Lucky ticket was drawn at the Royal Canadian Legion during the 2nd Annual Steak & Lobster Supper, 31 May 2013.

The Hunters Guide has been released for the 2013-2014 hunting season: 60 new licences and 2 new areas have been added (one in The Straits and one in Lab West) This was all a result of LHAFA's lobbying efforts! Happy Hunting everyone!

Jason Beaufield, and one of the original members of the Labrador Hunting and Fishing Association has moved back to Gander, Newfoundland to take another career path. Jason was instrumental in the planning and permitting for our Shooting Range and in getting the land approved. Jason also organized the training of 14 of members to be Range Safety Officers. Jason was a very active member and we wish him and his family all the best. We hope to see you in the future out on our new Shooting Range!

The LHAFA is selling tickets on a boating package $5 a ticket. The package is valued at $8,000 and includes:

- 14 foot Aluminum LUND Boat
- 15 HP 4 Stroke Yamaha Outboard Motor
- Easy Load Trailer
- 2 Oars
- 2 Lifejackets
- Emergency Kit

There are 5,000 tickets printed with the draw to take place on 30 August 2013 at the CBC Building. If all tickets are sold in time we will hold the draw at the Annual Steak and Lobster Dinner at the Legion on 31 May 2013.
