Good Afternoon Members!

The LHAFA would like to advise its members and the public that there will be heavy equipment in operation at the dock for the next few weeks. As there will be people directing traffic, please be aware that the LHAFA parking will be limited and congested. During this time we are asking our members and the public to park along the chain link fence, backing your vehicle and trailer in, or on the asphalt beyond the LHAFA office.

The Department of Environment and Conservation, is partnering with local rod and gun clubs and the Labrador Hunting and Fishing Association to offer hunter skills workshops to young people between the ages of 12 and 17 in Deer Lake and Happy Valley-Goose Bay. These sessions are designed to educate participants about safe and responsible hunting practices, as well as wildlife conservation, shooting safety, archery and bow-hunting techniques, and outdoor survival...

The Labrador Hunting and Fishing Association acquired the boat launch area in 2011 from The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador on a 5 year lease. We are committed to enhancing and improving this area for our members and the public. To use this launch a membership is required, with an annual fee of $50. Boating activity has significantly increased and congestion due to parking is a problem. Therefore, we are asking all the vehicles to park in the large area outside of the LHAFA office....

The Labrador Hunting and Fishing Association will be holding it's Annual General Membership Meeting at the E.J. Broomfield Memorial Arena at 6pm on the 18th November 2015 (Wednesday) upstairs in Clyde's Room, Happy Valley - Goose Bay.

We will be electing new Directors and Executive Members, and would like to see any member interested in assisting the association step forward.

We will have three Guest Speakers to provide information on Fish and Wildlife issues.

Memberships will be available to purchase. We will also be giving out several prizes and you must be a member in good standing to win.

We will also be selling LHAFA Shirts, T-shirts and Ball Caps with our Embroidered Logo. So please invite your family, friends, neighbors, and anyone else. You can also check out our website that has news and a photo gallery of many of the events we were involved with this past year.

Our summer students Courtney and Alexandra along with Pukta visited MFRC Summer Fun Day Camp! Thank you to the MFRC Summer Fun Day Camp and the camp councillors for letting us come in to promote our organization and to talk to the kids about Boating Safety! Remember to always wear a life jacket!

A huge THANK YOU to the Military Family Resource Center for inviting us to their coffee morning to promote our organization!! This was Alexandra and Courtney's first presentation in front of a larger crowd and they were awesome! Pukta even got to see the little kids in the day care!!
